Well, the EU is continuing to aggressively push a trade liberalisation agenda, giving African, Carribean and Pacific countries an ultimatum on signing European Partnership Agreements ('EPAs'). EPAs could seriously threaten fledgling local industries in these countries, as well as reducing their governments' capacities to regulate corporate activity and protect the environment.
