Join us on Monday 25th February for a day of collective fasting and prophetic action, as we SPEAK up for the victims of unjust food systems, and proclaim the Kingdom of God in an age of global food crises.
For the Day of Action 2013, we'll be reflecting on the brokenness of our global food system by fasting for the first half of the day. Although this isn't mandatory, it would be wonderful for as many people as possible to share in this experience together.
As we fast, our pilgrimage will take us to several prophetic sites of (in)justice, before we finally break our fast together in worship in the early afternoon. (We're asking everyone to contribute food that has a special ressonance for them - ask Andy for more details!)
We'll be meeting at 9.45 for 10am, at St Joseph's RC Church, Lamb's Passage, EC1Y 8LE, (between Liverpool Street, Old Street and Barbican Tube stations) where Delegates will be able to leave their bags for the day. We'll finish up back at the church at around 4pm.
If you're planning on coming, or have any questions, or would like to be involved with organising one of the stations, please drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
