Introduction
Myanmar (Burma) has been ruled militarily since 1962. The incumbent "State Peace and Development Council") has since it took control in 1992 oppressed the Burmese people, killed innocent civilians and held the democratically elected prime minister under house arrest. As a result, many nations have arms embargoes against Myanmar.
Arms embargoes are enforced by national governments, but states and arms companies sometimes attempt to get round them by re-exporting arms to embargoed countries (such as Myanmar) from countries that don't have embargoes against such states (such as Russia) - act now to make "no re-export without written consent" clauses a mandatory part of licencing regulation!
