This process of gathering and scattering is important to SPEAK as it helps us maintain the sense of being a Network, carrying out autonomous actions and community building that can be shared across the network of people who share values and a commitment to the same vision.

Soundcheck is our annual gathering for the whole Network. It’s where we launch new campaigns, actions, values resources and other projects. From the connections made we hope new groups and links will form so it’s important that we are all really clued up on how to make the most of it.

Vocal Training is a smaller annual gathering for key members, such a group leaders, Links and Flower Model. It’s open to everyone and often attracts new people, which is great! It’s a long weekend and we go in depth in to our values, campaigns and skills. There is also plenty of free time to build relationships.

Flower Model happens twice a year and is a planning and vision casting weekend for the Petal Teams who are part of it. We bring ideas together for events, campaigns and other projects. It’s our participatory forum and where many new activities begin for SPEAK.

As a member of the Network Support Team, these gatherings are important to prepare well for so you ready to talk to the people you need to about the things you need to, to help develop SPEAK. This section will help you do that, giving you a more indepth understanding of the aims of each gathering and how to prepare.
