Making Your Own Square
Follow these six simple steps to show your concern to decision makers about unjust trade rules and working conditions and help break the record for the world's biggest dress.
1) Cut a piece of material into a 30x30cm square
2) Write, sew, draw or paint your concerns (or hopes/wishes) about justice in the garment industry or unjust trade rules onto the squares.
3) Try to be as bold and imaginative as possible
4) Tell as many people as you can, and get them to make one too!!
5) Send your completed square(s) to:
The Big Dress
SPEAK
The Crypt
St. Peter's Church
Northchurch Terrace
London
N1 4DA
We will begin constructing the dress in November 2004, but can continue to accept squares until February 2005 when the dress will be launched.
6)Come back to this site to see how close we are to creating the world's biggest dress to present to the government
Thank you!
