Spaces

There are lots of different spaces to explore in the Rag Factory....whether you want a space for quiet meditation, a chance to have tea and a chat with a friend, or time for a jam with

Pods

Soundcheck has a unique format, the 'Pods'. These are separate areas relfecting SPEAK's diverse passions: Campaigns, Arts, the Network, Faith and Spirituality, Prayer, and Inernational. These pods are not just workshop spaces  and the place to go to pick up resources, but places where you can immerse yourself in the weekend. You are welcome to spend as much or as little time in each Pod as you like; learning, sharing, eating, praying, thinking, making, moving, or simply being together. Each Pod will host a mixture of workshops related to their area, and open space for discussion and hanging out.

The Cafe

Your first port of call when arriving at Soundcheck, our cafe is a great place to meet others, grab some tea or coffee and maybe some homemade cakes! It is a space of gathering and community, it is where we'll eat our meals together, and it will also play host to some workshops and gatherings over the weekend.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is our prayer space, a quiet area where you can pray or just chill out if you need some time out from the busyness of the weekend, or want to engage prayerfully with the issues you are hearing about in the workshops or main sessions

The Noisy Space

This is the place to go if you want to have a jam, make a mess (and clear it up afterwards!) or generally make some noise! It's a space to get creative with music and art, or just hang out

The Kitchen

We hope everyone will pay a visit to the kitchen over the course of the weekend to lend a hand preparing the food for everyone, and learn some new cooking skills whilst they're at it!

Check2 Space

Check2 is a dedicated space for post-student 20 and 30 somethings, and beyond, to explore how we live radical activist lives in the world of work, parenting and in our local communities. It's a great space for anyone with an interest in how we live out our SPEAK values in a local context. More info here.
