The Multidimensional Aspects of the Big Dress Campaign
As well as the Socio-economic dimension in which we want to see change there is
Spiritual Dimension
Encouraging people to repent of thier sins and the sins of our nation linked to trade. Recognising Jesus as our source of hope for change.
Discipleship Dimension
Encouraging the church to see the importance of being concerned about injustice in trade and incorporate a new theology and practice.
Lifestyle Dimension
Encouraging people to recognise the importance of their lifestyle decisions,
live sustainably and to limit the resources we consume,
buy fair trade where possible,
see advocacy for justice in trade as being part of their life and work.
Theology Dimension
To build a good theological understanding of the importance of change in social and economic injustice and how personal salvation and changes in attitude ultimately affect society. The bringing together of the personal and social without compromising our belief in the gospel and the importance of the Bible.
Education Dimension
Educating people around us about the issues surrounding trade.
Philosophy Dimension
Questioning the economic philosophy of neo-liberalism, the philosophy of the "free market" and the World Trade Organisation assumption that one-size-fits-all and that liberalisation is always good.
