Four years after the idea was first concieved, we are about to launch the Big Dress. Having reached this point, it is absolutely essential that we give it our all as a network to mobilise the 600 people for the Day of Action, ensuring that the Big Dress and your praying and campaigning has the biggest impact it can! It will, we believe, be a key tool to challenge the injustice, which is so endemic in the way that world trade works, and the actual people this impacts. We really believe that God is behind us with this and we have a responsibility to act too, just as you have already been doing.

The launch at the day of Action 2005 (February 21st) will be a massive day for SPEAK and we hope you will all be able to make it. It's our chance to show the media and MPs that we care about the poverty caused by unjust trade because we are motivated by the selfless love of Jesus, who has compassion on us all.

Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your church, tell your pets and bring them all! If you want to be a Mobiliser Extraordinaire please contact or phone 0207 2494309 – we need you! We want to see 600 people there to stand in solidarity with the 600 million poorest people of the world for whom unjust trade means they control less wealth than the richest 3 men.

In order to have the maximum political impact it is essential that as many MPs as possible attend the launch – this will be their first opportunity to come to the walk-in petition to hear about our campaign.

The Day of Action will begin at 9.00am in St Martin's in the Fields with thanksgiving and worship for how far we've come.

We'll then move out of the building to pray and apologise to God for unjust trade that we take part in and that our government legislates.

After a lunch break we'll go to the dress where we will have a prophetic catwalk show, symbolising the injustice in trade. During this time we hope that MPs will come to hear about the campaign. This section will last from 1pm – 4pm and we need you to invite your MPs to come! It's a busy day in Parliament with lots of meetings in the afternoon so persevere with the invites and don't leave it til the week before as the MPs will be on a recess then! Official invitations will be available soon, please contact the office (speak@speak.org.uk or 0207 2494309) for more info.
